Board Bios:
Reverend Sarah Reed:
In 2001 established Women of Purpose Ministries, a 501(c)3
non-profit organization. 15 years of program experience, ranging
from program development and treatment planning to overseeing daily
operations under Department of Human Services, and Division of
Development Disabilities guidelines. Earned over a 160 professional
development training hours in areas including non-profit management,
behavioral modification, and treatment planning. Bachelors Degree in
Biblical Studies and Leadership from the Philadelphia Biblical
University, PA.
Charlotte Frederick:
International relief and humanitarian Program Manager with
broad-based third-world country field experience in education and
food security sectors (Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Kenya and
Guinea). MA in Cultural Anthropology from Columbia University
coupled with a BA in International Business. Areas of expertise
include program planning, monitoring and evaluation, finance and
budgets, Staff and Community Development, Program Administration,
Teaching/Training, and Program/Policy Research.
Gwendolyn Lawrence:
Experienced executive administrator for a reputable corporation.
Founder and co-owner of a delivery service business serving
individuals, small business and corporations. Joined Women of
Purpose in 2002. Instrumental in developing legal infrastructure of
the organization.
Kurt Mancle:
Tax agent for a reputable corporation. Primary responsibilities
include maintaining general ledger, preparing organizational
financial statements and reports. He comes to WOPM with a wealth of
experience in Extensive training and knowledge of IRS 501c3 exempt
regulations.
Pauline
Mancle:
Account Development Specialist for the Asbury Park Press. Broad
range of experience in advertising and promotion. Graduate from
Union Technical Institute. Pursuing a degree in Business
Administration at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft NJ.
Ruth
Mosley-Thomas:
Quality control and administrative coordinator at The University
Medicine and Dentistry University’s Behavioral Healthcare division.
Assists WOPM with formulating policies and goals. Pursuing Bachelors
of Science degree in Management. Attended a wide range of
professional certified trainings through the University of Medicine
and Dentistry.
Jasper
Reaves:
Administrative Specialist within the New Jersey Judiciary. Served as
the Director, Community Investment & Strategic Partnerships with
United Way of Greater Mercer County. Member of the New Jersey Air
National Guard McGuire Air Force. In addition to volunteering with
Women of Purpose, manages a real estate development company.
John Reed:
Fifteen years of teaching experience for children ages 15 through
21. Teacher for State of New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission
responsible for counseling students in conflict resolution, anger
management, and positive thinking. Other areas of expertise include
teaching students with emotional dysfunction, organizing class field
trips to encourage social interaction among youths, and curriculum
development.
Deborah Simmons-Johnson:
Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa as a community
outreach developer and teacher. Masters degree in Education and
several achievements in reaching out to disadvantage communities
abroad and at home.
